OpenCloud terms of service

Effective August 8, 2026

These terms govern use of the hosted OpenCloud service at opencloud.ai, its related service domains, and the OpenCloud plugin and connector for ChatGPT, Codex, and Claude. By using the hosted service, you agree to these terms.

Eligibility and authority

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority where you live. If you use OpenCloud for an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these terms for that organization.

You are responsible for the email account, password, browser session, connected client, and devices used to access OpenCloud. Do not share passwords, one-time links, cookies, tokens, or app credentials. Tell OpenCloud promptly if you believe an account or app has been compromised.

The service

OpenCloud provides hosted infrastructure and tools for building and operating web applications, including source drafts, validation, isolated development, deployment, Auth, data, Storage, Functions, Realtime, cron, telemetry, backups, and verification.

The service is in an early testing phase. Features, limits, and interfaces may change, and access may be limited. OpenCloud may improve, replace, or stop a feature, but will not intentionally misrepresent whether a deployment or verification succeeded.

Your apps and content

You retain rights you already have in source code, data, files, and other content you submit. You grant OpenCloud a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, transmit, back up, and display that content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and support the service.

You are responsible for your app, its users, the content it collects, its privacy notice, and its compliance with law. You must have the rights and permissions needed for everything you submit. Do not use OpenCloud for highly sensitive or regulated information unless you have confirmed that the service and a written agreement meet the applicable requirements.

Acceptable use

You must not use OpenCloud to:

• violate law or the rights of another person;
• access, test, disclose, or disrupt another user's account, app, data, or infrastructure without authorization;
• distribute malware, phishing, spam, abusive content, or instructions whose primary purpose is evading security controls;
• probe or bypass tenant, authentication, rate-limit, validation, verification, or secret-handling boundaries;
• misuse the service to surveil people or make unlawful high-impact decisions;
• infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or contractual rights; or
• resell or overload shared service capacity in a way that harms other users.

Good-faith security research must follow the instructions on the support page and must not access or retain data that is not yours.

AI clients and third-party services

ChatGPT, Codex, Claude, model providers, email delivery, edge networks, and services connected by an app have their own terms and privacy practices. Your use of those services is governed by your agreement with the provider.

AI-generated code and tool plans can be incomplete or wrong. You are responsible for reviewing requested changes and approvals. OpenCloud's validation and verification evidence reduces deployment risk but is not a guarantee that an app is error-free, secure for every use, or legally compliant.

Never put a provider secret in a chat or source file. Use the supported secret entry or platform-generated secret workflow.

Destructive and production operations

Deployment, secret deletion, rollback, restore, and similar operations can change or discard data or availability. You are responsible for naming the correct target and authorizing the action. OpenCloud may require additional verification, reject stale revisions or receipts, or refuse an unsafe or unauthorized request.

Suspension and termination

OpenCloud may suspend or restrict access to protect the service or another user, respond to legal requirements, address nonpayment if paid service terms apply, or investigate a material violation of these terms. Unconfirmed provisional accounts may be paused after their confirmation period expires.

You may stop using the service and may request account or app deletion through OpenCloud support. Some backup, audit, security, and legal records may remain for their applicable retention periods.

Availability and warranties

The service is provided on an as available basis. To the extent permitted by law, OpenCloud disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free service. These terms do not limit warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, OpenCloud is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, goodwill, or data arising from use of the service. These limits do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.

Changes to these terms

OpenCloud may update these terms as the service changes. The page will show a new effective date. If a change materially reduces user rights, OpenCloud will provide additional notice when required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
